Daniel W. Edwards

Daniel W. Edwards, 82, of rural Orangeville, (North  Centre Township), died Friday, June 27, 2025 at his home.

Born December 1, 1942 in Berwick, he was a son  of the late Roy and Dorothy (Whitenight) Edwards.  He and his wife, Carol A. (Naugle) Edwards, celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on March 9th.

Dan attended the former Centre School, the Scott Township School and then graduated from Central Columbia High School in 1961. 

He was employed as a materials clerk for PPL for 30 years, retiring in 2000.

Dan was a member of Stillwater Christian Church.

His hobbies included hunting, horse trail riding, traveling and camping.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, Carol, are his two children:  Scott W. Edwards and his wife, Becky, of Junction City, Wisconsin; Rebecca A. Edwards, of Allentown; three grandchildren:  Ty, Trey and Tanna Edwards; two great grandchildren: Mabel Mae Edwards and Rhett William Edwards; two brothers:  Robert Edwards and his wife, Elaine, of Orangeville and Richard Edwards, of St. Petersburg, Florida.

Services will be held Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 11 AM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 487) with Pastor Scott Lyons, Stillwater Christian Church, officiating.  A Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 AM  until the time of the Service at 11 at McMichael's. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Stillwater Christian Church, 39 McMichael Street, Stillwater, PA 17878 or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN   38105-9959.
