David C. Laubach, 67, of Sugarloaf Township, died Saturday, July 23, 2022 at his home.
Born June 21, 1955 at the Bloomsburg Hospital, he was a son of Katherine (Cole) Laubach Starr, of Benton and the late Jack J. Laubach, who died April 29, 2013.
David and his wife, Wendy A. (Arnold) Laubach, celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary on May 27th.
He attended Benton Area Schools and graduated from the Columbia Montour Vocational Technical School in 1974. He had been employed by the Benton Foundry for 31 years, retiring in 2017.
David was a member of the Raven Creek Presbyterian Church. His hobbies included gardening, steam engines, trains and modeling. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Wendy, and his mother, Katherine, are his daughter, Maranda Messersmith and her husband, Abraham, of Benton; a son, Tim Arnold, of Benton; daughter-in-law, Lydia Kachurka, of Millville; two step children: Stephanie Frace and her husband, Tom, of Hetlerville; Davina Rosado, of Berwick; five grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Also surviving are his siblings: John A. "Jack" Laubach and his wife, Lori, of Benton; Randall H. "Randy" Laubach, and his wife, Alayne, of Stillwater; Danny C. Laubach and his wife, Tracy, of Benton and a sister, Denise Hampton and her husband, Brian, of Benton and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his father, Jack, he was preceded in death by a niece, Laura D. Laubach, on May 6, 2010.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 1st, 2022 at 11 AM at the Raven Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Commonwealth Hospice of Berwick, 1409 N. Market Street, Berwick, PA 18603.
