Dean
English, 71, of rural Orangeville, died Tuesday afternoon, July 20th, 2021 at
his home following a lengthy illness.
Born April
3, 1950, at the Bloomsburg Hospital, he was a son of the late Mark English, who
died in 1997 and Ethel "Peg" (Mausteller) English, who died in 1986. He and his wife, Carol A.(Kuzmick) English,
celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on August 17th.
Dean was a
1968 graduate of Benton High School. He
worked as a farmer, mechanic and in construction. He was mostly known for being a truck driver
and owned and operated HD Trucking for
many years, until his retirement.
He was a
member of the Benton United Methodist Church.
In his younger years, he was an active volunteer for the Benton Fire
Company and the Benton Ambulance Association.
An avid
outdoorsman, Dean especially enjoyed hunting.
Surviving,
in addition to his wife, Carol, are his children: Dewayne English and his wife, Dani'el, of
Danville; Chad English, of Orangeville; Bobbi Jo Lockard and her husband,
Scott, of Berwick; Edward M. Ignatavich, III, of Bloomsburg; Carrie-Ann Yost,
of Roaring Spring; Eric A. Ignatavich, of Orangeville; and April Miller and her
husband, Jamie, of Dover, Delaware Also
surviving are 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Janney,
of Millville and Roger English and his wife, Janet, of Benton.
Along with
his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Freda (Tuggle) English
in April 1979; a daughter, Tammy Jo
English, who died in infancy and by two sisters: Doris Toth in 2021 and Ruth English, who died
in 1998.
Private
