It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Denise M. (Lacasse) Kline, 77, of Benton Township, who left us peacefully on Sunday morning, February 16, 2025 surrounded by her family at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born July 10, 1947 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Marcel Harve Lacasse and Lucille Marie (Robitaille) Lacasse. She and her husband, Thomas M. "Tom" Kline, would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on June 12th.
Denise was a graduate of McLean High School in 1965 and then attended a business school in Washington, D. C. She first worked on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. before spending many years as a pre-school teacher. Later, she owned and operated her own cleaning business, which she ran for over 25 years.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who is most remembered for her selfless dedication and love for her family and friends. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was known for her cooking, baking, gardening and for her love for flowers, especially tulips.
Denise is survived by her husband, Tom, and her three sons: Clinton J. Kline and his wife, Brigid, of Leesburg, VA; Travis Dayne Kline and his companion, Marisa, of Manahawkin, NJ; Chase Marcel Kline, of Berwick. Additionally, her three grandchildren: Landon, Ayden and Madison Kline; and a sister, Lorraine Woolsey, and her husband, Tim, of Fairfax, VA as well as many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Suzanne Tobin and by a brother, Ronald Lacasse.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, May 17th, 2025 at 11 AM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton. Friends and relatives will be received from 10 AM until the time of the Service at 11. Private burial will be in the Benton Cemetery.
