Dotty Ann (Swigart) Wilson, 66, of Benton Township, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, January 21, 2020 at her home.
Born January 16, 1954 in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late William W. "Bill" Swigart, who died June 12, 1987 and Hazel D. (Cole) Swigart, who died April 6, 2006. She and her husband, George W. Wilson, would have celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary on June 1st.
Dotty attended Benton High School. She had been employed by Kent General Hospital in Dover, Delaware for 20 years until her retirement. In her younger years, she worked for Merit Decor / Kecks and Milco Industries.
Her hobbies included flowers, going on cruises and bird watching.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angel, that died in infancy; two brothers: Rodney W. Swigart, Sr. on July 12, 2005 and Steven J. Swigart, on March 4, 2019.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, George, are her son, Michael Steinruck and his wife, Joanna; four grandchildren: Lane, Summer, Angela and Austin; her siblings: Deborah L. Schumacher, of Starke, Florida; Bernadine K. Houseweart, of Orangeville; Ricky L. Swigart and his wife, Jayne, of Bloomsburg; Roxie J. Santos, of Orangeville and numerous nieces and nephews.
