Edward Paul Bowman

 Edward Paul Bowman, 72, of Benton, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, January 22, 2022.  Born in Bloomsburg on February 9, 1949, he was a son to the late Oley B. and Edith M. (Smith) Bowman.

 Edward attended Benton Area Schools.  He had worked at Knorr Construction, the Benton Foundry, and J.M. Smucker, from which he retired in 2016.  He had also enjoyed helping at Hidden Hollow Farm.

 He was a social member of Benton VFW Post 8317.  Edward enjoyed small engine repair, vacationing at the beach, yard saling, and working on farms.  An avid outdoorsman, he also enjoyed trapping and hunting.  His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his beloved family and friends.

 Surviving Edward is his wife, Doris K. (Taylor) Bowman, with whom he had recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.  Also surviving are children:  Karen Taylor and companion, Joseph Lawson, of Berwick, Brenda Isherwood and husband, Kenneth, of Bloomsburg, Patricia Bowman and companion, Steven Betz, of Orangeville, Kristina Bedient of Stillwater, and Mechell Guskiewicz and husband, William, of Benton; grandchildren:  Cody Shadle, Tanner Isherwood, Ashlea Young, and Zachary Guskiewicz; siblings:  Eleanor Young, Grace Swank and husband, Willard, Oley "Frank" Bowman and wife, Jan, Drucilla Bancroft and husband, Ken, John Bowman, Dean Bowman, and David Bowman and wife, Michelle; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by a son, Edward Paul Bogert, and siblings:  Ada, Richard, Howard, Carl, and George.

 A Memorial Service will be held at 7 PM Thursday, January 27 at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (S. R. 487).  Pastor Mike Delp will officiate.  Friends will be received from 6 PM until the time of the service.  Contributions to help defray final expenses may be made to the family.
