Elaine Beth (Hoover) Hess

Elaine Beth (Hoover) Hess, 67, of Fairmount Township, died early Sunday morning, December 20th, 2020 at her home.

Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of  the late Sheldon Hoover and Shirley (Boston) Hoover Judge.  She and her husband, Michael F. "Mike"  Hess, celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary in August. 

Mrs. Hess attended Lake Lehman Schools and then graduated from Northwest Area High School.  She had been employed by Bonham Nursing Center for more than 40 years as a Restorative Certified Nursing Assistant.

She was a member of the Bethel Hill United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Hess was an avid reader but especially enjoyed spending time with her family.  Her favorite job in all the world was being a grandmother.

Along with her husband, Mike, she is survived by three children:  Heidi Dzoch and her companion, Nathan Bonham, of Shickshinny; Neil M. Hess and his wife, Kimberly, of Stillwater; Corey Hess and his wife, Christine, of Sweet Valley; two foster daughters:  Dana Luckett and Tianna Luckett; and numerous others that lovingly called her Mom. Also surviving are eight grandchildren:  Sierra, Makayla, Jaclynn, Kenzee, Calie, Chelsey, Landon and Emmanuel; her siblings:  Greg Hoover and his wife, Ann Louise; Theresa Fowler and her husband, Andrew; Thomas Judge and his wife, Kim, all of Sweet Valley.
