Eleanor R. (Kessler) Puderbaugh

Eleanor R. (Kessler) Puderbaugh, 99, of rural Benton (Pine Township), died early Monday morning, December 16th, 2019 in the Gardens at Millville.

Born December 27, 1919 in Pine Township, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Sanders) Kessler.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn C. Puderbaugh, in 1989.

Mrs. Puderbaugh worked for the late Colonel Ricketts in her younger days.  She had also worked as a cook for a nursing home in Orangeville.

She was a longtime member of the former Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church of Talmar and the Thirty-nine Plus Club of the Church.

She enjoyed being a homemaker and was known for her cooking, baking, candy making and birthday cakes.

Surviving are her two sons:  James L. Puderbaugh, of Benton and Terry D. Puderbaugh and his wife, Lillian, of Unityville.  Also surviving are six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, Glenn, she was preceded in death by a stillborn Daughter; her daughter-in-law, Edna Puderbaugh and by two sisters:  Erma Swank and Florence Eustice.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 20, 2019 at 10:30 A. M. at the Wesley Chapel Church, Talmar with Kathy Burkhart, Certified Lay Minister, officiating.  Burial will be in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Talmar.  A visitation will be held Friday from 10AM until the time of the service at the Church.  The McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., Benton is honored to serve the Puderbaugh family.  For online condolences or for additional information, please visit our website:  www.mcmichaelfuneralhome.com
