Ellen R. (Dymond) Davenport Swelgin, 89, of the Millville area, died early Thursday morning, February 8, 2024 at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.
Born January 8, 1935 in Luzerne, she was a daughter of the late Graydon and Florence (Updegrove) Dymond. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harvey P. Davenport, on August 14, 2012 and by her second husband, Henry Swelgin, in November 2020.
Ellen was a graduate of Huntington Mills High School and had been employed by Girton Manufacturing in Millville and later for PP&L.
She was a member of the Rohrsburg Christian Church. Her hobbies included crafts and she also enjoyed traveling.
Surviving are her four children: Roberta Gautsch and her husband, Douglas, of Palmyra; Tom Davenport and his wife, Dianne, of New Hampshire; Brenda Hemsarth and her husband, Bruce, of Millville; John Davenport and his wife, Roberta, of Bloomsburg; ten grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Along with her parents and her two husbands, she was preceded in death by siblings, Ted Dymond and Elaine Baluh.
