Erica Shultz Obituary

Erica Gene Shultz, 26, of Bloomsburg, died December 27th, 2020.

Born November 21, 1994 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, she was a daughter of Neil A. Shultz, of Orangeville and Brenda (Diltz) Shultz Adams, of Bloomsburg.

Erica was a 2013 graduate of Columbia Montour Area Vocational Technical School, where she graduated fifth in her class.  She was currently taking classes at Luzerne County Community College.

She was employed at Weis Markets in Bloomsburg as a sales associate and also was a monitor for the Advocacy Alliance of Bloomsburg.  She had previously worked at BON TON at the Columbia Mall; the Bloomsburg Children's Museum; the Danville Children's Day Care Center; was an activities aid at Emmanuel Center for Nursing in Danville and was also a community support member for CMSU.

Erica  was very involved with the Special Olympics Program and was a gold medalist in the PA Special Olympics.  She was also a Global Messenger for Special Olympics.  She was also involved with Go MAD Players Drama Club in Bloomsburg, through the Recovery System. 

Erica had a passion for life; she loved to sing and dance. She was spirited and had a smile and a kind word for everyone she met.  She made the world a better place everywhere she went.  She was proud of who she was; what she accomplished; her family and the life she lived.

She attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Espy and the Radiant Light in Muncy where she assisted with Vacation Bible School as well as the other children's programs and other Church activities.

Surviving are her mother, Brenda G. (Diltz) Shultz Adams and her husband, Jeremy, of Bloomsburg; her father, Neil A. Shultz and his wife, Susan, of  Orangeville; two sisters:  Emily Corbin and her husband, Cody, of Bloomsburg and Erin Shultz and her significant other, Jason Mattern, of Millville; her emotional support cat, Luna Bell; her maternal grandmother, Mary G. Kline and her significant other, Robert Marino, of Berwick; her step brother, Victor Vieira and significant other, Meg Theranger, of Conshohocken; "New Nana", Bobbie Gordner, of Bloomsburg; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by a brother, Brandon Eugene Shultz; her maternal grandfather, Alton Eugene (Gene) Diltz and her paternal grandparents:  Paul E. and Susan Shultz.

Private Services will be held for the immediate family with Pastor Kelly Kocher-Ross, officiating.
