Floyd H. "Harv" Ipher, 62, of Cambra, died early Friday morning, April 25, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born December 12, 1962 at home in Huntington Mills, he was a son of the late Harold and Dorothy (Shultz) Ipher. He and his wife, Noelle Hobbs-Ipher, would have celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary on November 23rd.
Harv was a 1981 graduate of Northwest Area High School. From 1976 until 2012 he was employed as a farmer at the Robert Barchik farm in Cambra. He then worked for the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Tobyhanna for five years and then was employed as a school bus driver in Pittston. He was also a school bus driver trainer.
He was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Hughestown where he had served as President of the Church Council.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Noelle, are his three sisters: Linda Ipher, of Stillwater; Esther Brothers, of Burleson, Texas and Bonnie Verbyla, of Benton as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Claude C. Ipher on November 10, 2018 and William Ipher on August 19, 2016.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 30th, 2025 from 4:30 to 7:30 PM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 487). A Funeral Service will be held at 7:30 PM on Wednesday at the Funeral Home. There will also be a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 3 PM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 100 Rock Street, Hughestown, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Pittston Area Girls Softball Booster Club, c/o Chantelle Antal, 320 Chapel Road, Pittston Twp., PA 18640 or the American Heart Association.
