Frances (Mowery) Capute

Frances Capute, 97, of Shickshinny, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Glen Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Berwick.

She was born on January 25, 1927 in Shickshinny, a daughter of Alex and Sue Mowery.    She was married to Morris Capute, Sr.,who preceded her in death on April 13, 1985. 

She was employed by Luzerne Outerwear and Amil Manufacturing, of Shickshinny.

In addition to her parents, and spouse, Frances, she was also preceded in death by a son, Morris F. Capute, Jr. and his wife, Betty; and an infant son, Joseph.

Survivors include her best friend and daughter, Pam Schuckers and her husband, Randy; beloved grandson, Chad Schuckers (Big Boss) and his wife, Christina; and great grandson, Logan Schuckers (Little Boss), as she called them.

Also surviving are three additional grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

As per Frances's request, there will be no service.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family at the Pine Hill Cemetery, Shickshinny.  Pam would like to sincerely thank the entire staff of Glen Brook for the extraordinary care and compassionshown to her mom.
