Gail A. Farver, 71, of Benton Township, died Tuesday evening, February 11, 2025 at his home.
Born December 9, 1953 in Luzerne County, he was a son of the late Glenn A. Farver, Sr., who died in April 1986 and Ruth C. (Lamoreaux) Farver, who died May 26, 2007.
Gail was a graduate of Columbia Montour Vocational Technical School and then faithfully and honorably served his country in the U. S. Army. He was stationed at Aberdeen, Maryland from 1972 to 1975 where he was a physical fitness instructor.
He was an avid reader and enjoyed telescopes, and riding his motorcycle.
Surviving are a grandson, that he raised, Rodney Albertson, of Benton;
three step children: Stephanie Williams and her husband, Cortnee, of Orangeville; Shelby Holdren, of Berwick; Corey Lockard of Benton; 9 step grandchildren, two step great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Carole Farver and nephews that include: Sydney, Stacy and Dusty Farver.
He was preceded in death by his long time companion, Linda D. Lockard, on December 8, 2013 and by a step granddaughter, Eliese English on November 10, 2001; a brother, Glenn A. Farver, Jr. on May 6, 2008; a half brother, Sidney Farver on Feb. 18, 1999.
Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
