George H. Nafus

George H. Nafus, 75, of Benton, died Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at his home.

Born December 19, 1948 in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of  the late Edward Simon Nafus and June Miriam (Williams) Nafus.  

George attended Northwest Area Schools and had last worked for Milco Industries in Millville.  He was an avid trout fisherman and in his younger years, also enjoyed shooting darts and pool and hunting. He had an avid interest in his native American culture.

Surviving are his siblings:  Miriam M. Kishbaugh, of Orangeville; James Nafus, of Benton; Ruth A. Gerhardt, of Benton; and Rose Nafus, of Millville as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings:  Myra Nafus, Franklin Nafus, Edward Nafus and Sarah Grenewich.

Private Services will be held at the McMichael Funeral Home,  Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton, with Pastor Ken  Lewis, Benton  Christian Church, officiating.
