Glen W. "Butch" Heintzelman, Jr., 75, of Pealertown Road, Orangeville, died Sunday afternoon, November 10, 2019 at Maria Hall, Danville. He had been in declining health for the past two years.
Born March 4, 1944 in Berwick, he was a son of the late Glen W. Heintzelman, Sr., who died in 1980 and Jennie S. (Reese) Heintzelman Garrison, who died on October 3, 2008.
Butch attended the Jonestown School and later Benton Schools. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Marine Corps as a Corporal during the Vietnam War.
He had been employed by the Benton Area School District as a custodian / maintenance. He retired in 2008. He had also worked previously for Girton Manufacturing and BIDA.
Butch was a life member of the Berwick V. F. W. and the Bloomsburg American Legion. He had also been a member of various area social clubs including the Garibaldi Society of Berwick.
Surviving are his son, Rod W. Heintzelman, of Orangeville; grandsons: Tommy and Matthew Heintzelman.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Justin A. Heintzelman on December 31, 2014; a sister, Bonnie L. Heintzelman, on September 4, 2018 and by his stepfather, Glenmore P. "Pete" Garrison, on June 19, 1998.
