Greta L. (Fritz) Heaps, 90, of 82 Pealertown Road, Orangeville, passed on to her heavenly home on Tuesday, May 25th, 2021 at her home.
Born January 3, 1931 in Fishing Creek Township, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Brittain) Fritz. She was the Widow of William J. Heaps who passed away on January 24, 1999.
Greta was a 1948 graduate of Bloomsburg High School. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ, Orangeville. Greta most enjoyed working in her garden and reading her Bible. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and sewing.
Her family includes: her late son, William W. Heaps, and his widow, Joyce, of Berwick; Bill's daughter, Tracy Davis of Berwick and granddaughter, Amanda Nguyen, of Mifflinville; a daughter, Marlyse Heaps and wife, Karen Davis, of Bloomsburg and daughter, Kelsey Davis; her son, Gregory Heaps and his wife, Darlene, of Amelia, Ohio and their daughter, Marybeth Trefzgen and her husband, Bill and their children, Ella, Liam and Mallory; their son, Joshua Heaps and wife, Ashley, of Milford, Ohio and their children: Sophia, Mackenzie and Maximus; a son, Steve Heaps and his wife, Lorrie, of Trinity, Florida and their daughter, Miranda; a son, John Heaps and his wife, Tammy, of Berwick; a daughter, Kimberly Shimmel and her husband, Richard, of Mont Alto, PA and their sons, William and Zachariah.
Along with her parents, husband, and son, William, she was also preceded in death by a daughter Karen Heaps.
Friends will be received on Saturday, May 29th from 12 Noon until the time of the service at 1:00 at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4934 Red Rock Road, Benton. The Rev. Mark Rowell, of Zion United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.
