Guy Nelson Getz

Guy Nelson Getz, 81, of Benton, died Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born November 8, 1943  at the Bloomsburg Hospital, he was a son of the 

late Alton Parker Getz Sr. and Pauline R. (Camp) Getz. 

Mr. Getz attended Benton schools.  He worked as a welder for most of his life and was employed by Bechtel when they built the nuclear power plant near Berwick.

He was a social member of the Benton V. F. W. and was an avid outdoorsman; enjoying fishing and  hunting.

Surviving are his three children:  Kevin L. Getz and his wife, Eileen, of West Wyoming; Christine Bradley and her husband, Donald, of Phoenix, Arizona; Eric N. Getz, of Hunlock Creek; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; three sisters:  Delores Jane Myers, Shelva Jean Foust and Betty Marie Reimard as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca George and the following siblings:  Robert A. Getz, Carl T. Getz, Arley P. Getz, Bert "Bill" Getz, Nancy J. McMann, Jack A. Getz, Alton P. Getz, Jr., Timothy A. Getz, Charles P. Getz and David B. Getz. 

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the Family.
