H. Elaine (Krewson) Creveling

H. Elaine (Krewson) Creveling, 81, of rural Stillwater (Fishing Creek Township), and of Fort Pierce, Florida, died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at her home.  

Born February 16, 1943 in Abington, Montgomery County, she was a daughter of the late Harry E. and Helen E. (Wilson) Krewson.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Curtis E. Creveling, on June 11, 2023.

Elaine was a 1961 graduate of the William Tennet High School in Warminster, PA.

She was an active member of St. James United Church of Christ, where she assisted with the Ice Cream Festivals and Church Fellowship Dinners.  She was a 4-H Leader years ago and enjoyed playing cards.  She was a member of the Benton Senior Center.  She had also done catering in the area and also in Florida.  She worked at the Bloomsburg Fair for Fought's and then for Rod Kile for many years.  She was also a seasonal employee, making wreaths, for Heritage Acres in Orangeville.  

Surviving, are her son, Samuel E. Creveling and his wife, Laurie, of Stillwater; a daughter-in-law, Billie Jo Creveling of Benton; step children:  
Diane Smith and her husband, Terrance, of Warwick, PA; Deborah Wyman and her husband, Roland, of Washington, NC,  and Graydon Steiner and his wife, Emily, whom was like a son to her;  Also surviving are five grandchildren:  Tyler and Margaret Creveling; Lydia Gadalla, Erin Lake and Breanna Wenner; great grandchildren:  Justin and Alyson Lake; Brantley Creveling, Madison Mowrer and Remington and Blakely Wenner; and Karleigh, G. P. and Emma Steiner.  Also surviving are her sister, Diane Lee Pisch and her husband, Lou, of Davenport, Florida and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons: Chad C. Creveling, on November 28, 1999; Charles E. "Chuck" Creveling on October 23, 2023.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 1st, 2024 at 11 AM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 487) with Rev. Mark E. Rowell, her Pastor, officiating.  A viewing will be held Thursday, October 31st, 2024 from 4 to 7 PM at McMichael's and Friday morning from 10 AM until the time of the Service at 11.  Burial will be in  St. James Cemetery, Fishing Creek Township.  Contributions may be made in her memory to St. James United Church of Christ, 443 Zaners Bridge Road, Stillwater, PA 17878.
