Harold A. Steinruck, 79, of Benton, passed away on Sunday, December 27th, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born July 8, 1941 in Nanticoke, he was a son of the late William and Thelma (Long) Steinruck.
Harold graduated from Benton High School in 1959. He worked at Dockey's Shirt Company in Benton; Milco in Bloomsburg and was the general manager of Country Maid Sportswear in Berwick.
Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He served in the National Guard from 1963 to 1969. He was a charter member and treasurer of Elk Run Lodge; a member of the Benton Rodeo Association; the secretary for the Benton Water and Sewer Authority and was Judge of Elections for Benton Borough. He attended the Fairmount United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Alice (Jordan) Steinruck; two daughters: Kendra Proctor, wife of Bobby, of Eden, NC; Lara Miller, wife of Mark, of Palmyra, PA; his grandchildren: William Everitt and his wife, Danyell, of Benton; Brianna Everitt and her partner, Tom Wagner, of Benton; Claire Miller of Palmyra; and a great grandchild, Brentley Wagner.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Glenda Steinruck Ipher.
