Helen I. (Winders) Evans, 83, of Jackson Township, died Tuesday afternoon, October 25th, 2022 at her home.
Born March 26, 1939 in Bloomsburg, she was a daughter of the late Annabelle (Winders) Kinney. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Raymond G. Evans, Jr., on December 17, 2006.
Helen attended Benton Schools and had worked for Wise Potato Chip Company in Berwick for many years.
Surviving, are her children: Robert E. "Gene" Hamilton, Danville; David A. Hamilton, of Berwick; Margaret A. Hamilton, of Bloomsburg; Loretta L. Evans, of Benton; Lori L. Evans, of Middletown. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Roberta L. Hamilton, who died in infancy; her siblings: Dorothy L. "Dot" Everett, on September 23, 2012; Ross Kinney in 1995 and William "Bill" Winders.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 28, 2022, at 11 AM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 487) with Pastor Scott L. Lyons, Stillwater Christian Church, officiating. Viewing will be Friday from 9 AM until the time of the service at 11 at McMichael's.
