Jacqueline K. (Knouse) Brown

Jacqueline K. "Jackie" (Knouse) Brown, 62, of Shickshinny, died Friday evening, September 6, 2024 at the Allied Services Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Born April 21, 1962 at the Berwick Hospital, she was a daughter of Kathleen (Ross) Knouse, of Stillwater and the late Ronald I. Knouse, who died September 7, 2008. 

Jackie was a graduate of Northwest Area High School and had been employed by the Salsburg Insurance Company of Shickshinny for many years.

She was a member of the Cambra Christian Church.

Jackie enjoyed playing Bingo, watching TV game shows and "treasure hunting" at local yard sales.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, Kathleen, are her two daughters:  Paulette M. Brown and her companion, Jonathan Edwards, of Plymouth; Jessica M. Johnson and her husband, Phillip, of Olympia, Washington; a grandson, Oliver Edwards; her brother, Jeffrey R. Knouse, of Nescopeck; her aunt, Carolyn Rakich and her family, of Benton, as well as her best friend, Sharon Grant.

Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her uncle, John Rakich and by an aunt and uncle, Sherye and Barry Newman.

Services will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 6 PM at the McMichael Funeral  Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 487) with Pastor David Bronson, officiating.  Private burial will be in the Rose Lawn Cemetery, Berwick.  A Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 PM until the time of the service at 6 at McMichael's.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
