Jacqueline Davis Obituary

Jacqueline L. (Guyette) Davis, 96, of Benton, peacefully passed into the arms of her Savior, on Friday, September 19, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Born May 14, 1929 in Dover, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Ben and Blanche (Crawford) Guyette. She and her beloved husband, Eddie G. Davis, celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary on March 24, 2025, and were together nearly 80 years since they were 16 years old.

Mrs. Davis was a 1947 graduate of Canfield High School and a 1950 graduate of Youngstown Nursing School, where she earned her R.N. degree, both in Ohio. She had been employed by the former Klingerman Nursing Center in Orangeville (now The Gardens at Orangeville) as the Charge Nurse for 21 years.

She was a member of Benton Christian Church and more recently Stillwater Christian Church. She enjoyed helping in any way she could, especially cooking and baking dozens of cookies whenever needed. Serving as a Girl Scout Leader and 4-H Leader for her daughters were just a few of her many volunteer community hours.

She was a loving “Nana” who created wonderful memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with seashell walks along the beach, nature walks, sleepovers, ceramic painting, arts and crafts, playing games, attending sporting events and many family vacations over the years. We will always think of her when we see a seagull, especially “Jonathan” whom she loved so well.

She enjoyed traveling cross-country with her husband, Eddie, and visiting many destinations all over the country in their Airstream RV and created detailed photo albums for each of their adventures they shared together.

Surviving are her husband, Eddie G. Davis and her three daughters: Jacqueline C. Hess and her husband, Gale; Deborah A. Hess and her husband, Charles “Chuck”; and Sandra L. Kogut and her husband, John, all of Benton. Seven grandchildren: Shane Hess (Suzanne); Christopher Hess (Angela), Brandon Hess (Lauren); Bridgette Wise (Christopher); Kelly Pascarella (Michael); Taylor Kogut (Simone) and Lauren Kogut. Fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

A Celebration of Life service will take place at a future date. The McMichael Funeral Home, Inc, of Benton is honored to serve the Davis Family. For online condolences, or for additional information, please visit our website:www.mcmichaelfuneralhome.com
