James A. "Jim" Stone

James A. "Jim" Stone, 44, of Huntington Mills, died Monday, October 9, 2023 at his home.

Born June 22, 1979 in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of John Roger Stone, formerly of Shickshinny, and the late Geraldine (Weidow) Stone, who died March 21, 2013.  He and his wife, Janet L. (Whitmire) Stone, celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary on June 21st.

Jim attended Northwest Schools and then graduated from Westside Vo-Tech.  He also took courses at LCCC and Capital College in Maryland for Electronics and Electricity.   

He was last employed by Community Strategies as a maintenance inspector. For most of his working career he had been employed in maintenance or as an electrician.  

Jim was proud to have been an Eagle Scout and was active in Scouting for most of his life.  He also enjoyed farming, being outdoors; hiking and riding bikes with his girls.  

Along with his father and his wife, Janet, are three children:  Trista Whitmire and her fiancée, Shawn Simon, of Bloomsburg; Teresa and Terrah Stone, both at home; and a brother, John Stone, of Shickshinny.  

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
