Jean K. (Hower) Lynn

Jean K. (Hower) Lynn, 75, died Monday, May 27, 2024 at Glen Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Berwick.

Born February 5, 1949 in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Alfred A. and Mildred M. (Dietterick) Hower.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Charles S. Lynn, who died June 3, 2020.

Jean was a graduate of Berwick High School and was employed by Wise Foods, Inc., of Berwick for 36 years, retiring on February 1, 2014.

She was a longtime member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Berwick; the United Methodist Women and the Young Adults Sunday School Class.

Jean enjoyed being a  homemaker; cooking and baking; sewing and crafting.  She especially treasured the time that she spent with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her two children: Charles E. Lynn and his wife, Sonya, of Anthem, Arizona;  Michelle A. Schultz and her husband, Andrew, of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren:  Cooper and Delaney Lynn;  Nathaniel, Jacob, Nicholas and Samuel Schultz; a brother, Robert D. Hower and his wife, Carry, of Berwick, and their children.

Along with her husband, Charles, and her parents, she was preceded in death by the two brothers:  Larry A. Hower  and James L. Hower.  

Memorial Services will be held Friday, May  31, 2024, at 11 A. M. at Calvary United Methodist Church, Orange Street, Berwick, with Pastoral Lead, Cathy G.
