Jean Marie (Ennis) Sacks

Jean Marie (Ennis) Sacks, 71, of Jackson Township, and formerly of the Philadelphia area, died Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Born December 28, 1953 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late James Ennis, Sr. and Susan Ennis. 

Jean Marie was a 1972 graduate of Bensalem High School and then attended nursing school where she earned her LPN degree.  She had worked as a nurse for 50 years and was last employed by the Bryn Mawr Nursing Home in the Philadelphia area, prior to her retirement.

She was of the Roman Catholic faith.  She was very involved with an online migraine support group.

Jean Marie and her husband, Terry, loved to travel, visiting 26 states over the past several years. 

Surviving are her husband, Terry A. Sacks, whom she married on September 18, 2021; three daughters:  Jennifer Vanat and her husband, Brian; Christina Hanchett and her husband, Kalub; Merle-Lynn Grabbitt and her husband, Matthew; Also surviving are 18 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Fath, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Ennis, Jr.

There will be a Celebration of Life service held on Friday, July 11, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc. in Benton. A visitation will precede the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends until the time of the service.
