Jesse Daniel Vansock, 29, of Benton (Sugarloaf Township) died Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born September 12, 1988 at the Bloomsburg Hospital, he was a son of Stephen G. and Debra (Ashelman) Vansock, of Benton.
Jesse was a 2007 graduate of Northwest Area High School where he ran cross country/track and also wrestled. He attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania following his graduation from High School.
He was employed by New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc. where he had worked for the past nine years.
An avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed deer hunting and turkey hunting. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his two brothers: Nicholas C. Yost and Cody S. Vansock; three nieces: Saeleigh, Scarlett and Waelynn; his girlfriend, Marissa Gallagher; his paternal grandmother, Irma Jeanne (Wood) Vansock, all of Benton as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and his faithful dog, Kane.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Andrew G. Vansock and his maternal grandmother, Barbara Troy.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 at 10 AM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (S. R. 487) with the Rev. Caleb Fritz, officiating. Burial will be in the Waller Cemetery, Jackson Township. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 PM at McMichael's. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family for a trust fund for his unborn son, who is due in November. Contributions may be sent to: Stephen G.
