John Mark Cregar, III, 69, of Berwick, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 18, 2023 at his home. Passing by his side was, Dexter, his dog and best friend of 15 years.
Born September 2nd, 1953 in Flemington, New Jersey, he was the son of Doris M. (Johnson) Cregar, of Stillwater and the late John M. Cregar, Jr., who died on December 27, 2003.

John’s career took off at Studio Instrument Rentals in New York. It was through this job delivering instruments to recording studios that, he was invited on the road with Johnny Winter. Some of his most notable achievements were hitting the road with the Eagles, Bonnie Raitt, Don Henley, and Jackson Browne. He had even toured globally with Joe Cocker. During a tour with Bonnie Raitt in the mid 90’s, she paid homage to him on stage, for being one of her longest standing technicians and back up percussionist. After an extensive career, John recently came off the road into a light retirement.
