Joy B. (Morris) Morris

Joy B. (Morris) Morris, 78, of Greenwood Township, died late Saturday evening, January 1, 2022 at the Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital where she had been a patient since Wednesday.

Born April 12, 1943 at the Bloomsburg Hospital, she was a daughter of the late Hamilton C. and Mildred M. (Creveling) Morris.  

Joy attended Millville Schools and had been employed by VanHouten Farms in Greenwood Township for 45 years.  She retired in 2019.

She was  a member of the Greenwood United Methodist Church and had also attended the Greenwood Christian Church.

Joy was very interested in genealogy and was a member of the Columbia County Historical Society.

Surviving are her five children:  Faith L. Daily (Jeff) of Millville; Brian C. Morris (Kelli) of Millville; Hope R. Royer, of Greenwood Valley; Charity J. Robbins, of Waller; Brant E. Morris (Megan) of Berwick; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers:  J. Wayne Morris and P. Blaine Morris.  

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 6th, 2022 at 11 AM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 487) with Pastor Shawn M. McNett, of the Strawberry Ridge UCC, officiating.  Burial will be in Lemon Cemetery, Greenwood Township.  A Viewing will be held Wednesday, January 5th from 5 to 7 PM at McMichael's or Thursday morning from 10 AM until the time of the Service at 11.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Columbia County Historical Society, 225 Market Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.  The McMichael Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve the Morris Family. For online condolences or for additional information, please visit: www.mcmichaelfuneralhome.com
