Judy L. (Van De Mark) Keeney, 75, of Stillwater, went home to be with her Heavenly Lord and Savior on Monday, June 9, 2025. She passed peacefully at her home and is in the presence of the Lord. Judy is healed after a battle with cancer and is resting in the arms of Jesus. We rejoice for the day we will see her again in Heaven.
She was born on May 10, 1950 in Meshoppen, PA. She was the eldest daughter of the late Ronald "Sam" and Isabelle Janice (Scheffler) Van De Mark. She and her husband, Ray D. Keeney, would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on September 4th.
Judy was a 1968 graduate of Wyalusing Valley High School. Judy had many talents which included handling payroll for Kydex in Bloomsburg and performing accounting duties for the family farm and Keeney Equipment. Judy also had a love of decorating and helped decorate many homes during the years she sold Home Interiors and Home and Garden.
Above all, Judy’s most loved and important position was that of a Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Her nurturing ways were recognized by all who knew her, especially her grandchildren. She was known for her hospitality, kindness, joy and cooking. She loved hosting dinners for all to enjoy followed by dessert on the front porch. She was always willing to lend a helping hand with a smile. She had a joy that beamed from her for all to see. The love and devotion she had for her family was unmatched.
She was a faithful follower of Christ. She attended The Christian Gospel Fellowship Church in Millville. Throughout her life she was a dedicated Sunday School teacher, Awana teacher, Mission Committee member, volunteer for The Christian Farmer’s Association and served on the Event Committee in various churches. She had a heart for everyone to know Jesus Christ and be saved, especially children. She was known for providing transportation for children all of her life, so they could attend church even if their own family did not. Her faith in God shown throughout her life, and she touched more lives than she will ever know.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, Ray, are her three beloved children: Daniel R. Keeney and his wife, Amanda, of Benton; Jeremy J. Keeney and his wife, Alissa, of Orangeville; Janice L. Artman and her husband, Timothy, of Bloomsburg; nine grandchildren: Jaegen, Jaxon, Jorja, Jentry, Jase, Sawyer, Elyse, Eden and Estelle. Also surviving are four sisters: Sandy, Sharlene, Joan and Sharon as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, June 13th from 10 AM to 12 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM at The Christian Gospel Fellowship, 2938 PA-42, Millville (Iola). A burial will take place at the Stillwater Cemetery with a meal to follow at the Stillwater Christian Church, 39 McMichael Street, Stillwater, near Ray and Judy’s home.
