Jule B. "Judd" Canouse, 63, of rural Stillwater, Fishing Creek Township, died early Sunday morning, August 8th, 2021 at his home. He had been in ill health since February.
Born February 8, 1958 in Berwick, he was a son of the late Theron and Hazel M. Canouse. He and his wife, Judy A. (Litzenberger) Canouse, celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on July 7th.
Judd was a graduate of Berwick High School and was a long time employee of Altium Packaging Company in Berwick.
He also had a passion for farming and assisted his father with the operation of the family farm as well as other farmers in the area. He was also a well-known animal lover.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Judy, are his two children: Joshua Judd Canouse, of Berwick; Samijo Canouse-Matthews and her husband, Tyson, of Shickshiny Valley; a step daughter, Mary Jaffin, of Stillwater; his grandchildren: Haley Wildoner and her husband, Matt; Makayla Canouse, Kendyll Canouse, Kenadee Matthews; his great grandchildren: Dakota, Phoenix and Jade; his siblings: Kent D. Canouse and his wife, Judy, of Shamokin; Gary S. Canouse and his wife, Carla, of Berwick; Amity J. Lewis and her husband, Gary, of Berwick; and Brenda Schrader and her husband, Will, of Berwick as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 12th, 2021 at 11 AM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 487) with Pastor Scott Lyons, Stillwater Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Scott Cemetery, Huntington Township. Friends and relatives will be received Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 at McMichael's. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, Columbia County Unit, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
