June W. (Young) Phillips

June W. (Young) Phillips, 89, died Thursday, June 20th, 2019 at the Gardens at Orangeville.

Born November 16, 1929 in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Carlton George Young and Anna (Meshkonis) Young.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Clyde Eugene Phillips, on July 2, 2011.

June attended schools at Berwick and Millville.  She had been employed by the former Barnell Dress Factory in Bloomsburg; the former Dockey Shirt Factory in Benton and Dol-Ang Manufacturing in Benton.  She also had done a lot of baby sitting in the Benton area for 27 years.

She was a longtime resident of Benton and then lived at Stony Brook Circle for many years.  While living in Benton, she was a member and trustee for the Benton Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. 

Her hobbies included crafts, quilting and sewing. 

Surviving are her three children:  Carlton E. Phillips and his wife, Elberta, of Linglestown, PA; Alan Jon Phillips and his wife, Robbin, of Berwick; and Beth Ann Musselman and her husband, C. Robert, of Stillwater.  Also surviving are 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and a brother, Rodney Dale Young and his companion, Donna Chapin. 

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis L. Phillips on September 6, 2016 and by four brothers:  Carlton Z. Young, Jr., Doyle L. Young, Robert S. Young and Ronald D. Young. 

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 25th, 2019 at 10 AM at  the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (S. R. 487).  Pastor James E. Harvey will officiate.  Burial will be in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.  A Viewing will be held Monday from 6 to 8 PM at McMichael's.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Geisinger Hospice, 410 Glenn Avenue, Suite 200, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.  For online condolences or for additional information, please visit our website:  www.mcmichaelfuneralhome.com
