Karen A. (Wilmington) Haddow, 78, of Benton Township, died early Thursday morning, December 28th, 2023 at her home.
Born May 13, 1945 in Evergreen Park, Cook County, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Orville and Lorraine (Hendrickson) Wilmington.
She was a 1963 graduate of Breman High School in Illinois and then the Thornton Community College in Illinois, where she earned her RN degree in Nursing.
Karen worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) for 30 years. She had been employed by the Osteopathic Hospital Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia for many years and after moving to the Benton area was a substitute school nurse for the Benton Area School District.
She was a Girl Scout Leader in Benton years ago and enjoyed collecting antiques, art work and painting.
Surviving are her three children: Andrew J. Haddow and his wife, Kathleen, of Wallingford, PA; Steven T. Haddow of Benton; Elizabeth L. "Heidi" Mescanti, of Lancaster; five grandchildren: Jerilynn, Matthew, William, Devon and Taylor; a great granddaughter, Sunny; her siblings: John Wilmington, Dawn Sulek, Bert Wilmington, Cheryl Ascher and Julie Rossi.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Eve Haddow, on July 31, 2013.
Private Services will be held at the convenience of the Family.
