Kathleen Elizabeth (Pollock) Pickens

Kathleen Elizabeth (Pollock) Pickens, 68, of Benton, passed away suddenly July 6, 2023.  Born in Brooklyn on April 8, 1955, she was a daughter to the late Donald A. Pollock, Sr. and Jean I. (Stoker) Pollock.

Kathleen was a graduate of Benton High School, Class of 1974.  She had worked 13 years in the bakery at County Fresh Market in Benton, until her retirement in 2018.  Kathleen had been a volunteer at the N4Cs food bank.  She liked to cook and watch cooking shows on TV.  She was a fan of both the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers.  Kathleen was an avid reader.  Her greatest joys, however, were her family and friends and the times spent with them.

Kathleen is survived by her sons:  Johnny Pickens of Eureka, CA, Michael Pickens and wife, Julia, of Eureka, CA, and Jacob Pickens of Benton; siblings:  Patricia Record of Benton, James Pollock and wife, Patti, of Hamilton, NY, Brian Pollock of Benton, Mary Dougher and husband, Tom, of Stillwater, Thomas Pollock and wife, Trish, of Liberty, UT; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by siblings:  Michael Pollock, Sr., Donald Pollock, Jr., Kevin Pollock, Donna Work, and Matthew Pollock.

All are welcome to join Kathleen’s family for her memorial service Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 7 PM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton.  Pastor James Pollock will officiate.  Friends will be received from 5 PM until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions in Kathleen’s name may be given to a domestic violence support organization of choice.
