Kevin W. Schumacher

Kevin W. Schumacher, 61, of Benton, died Friday afternoon, March 25th, 2022 at his home.

Born January 25, 1961 in New Jersey, he was a son of the late John Schumacher and the late Joan E. (Wolf) Schumacher Meyer.

Kevin was a 1980 graduate of Benton High School and then earned his Associates Degree at Williamsport Area Community College. 

He had been employed by Phoenix in Nanticoke for many years and later for Don E. Bower, Inc., of Berwick.

Kevin had been a member of the Royal Order of Raccoons.  He had a true passion for working on cars in his spare time and he was an avid hunter.

Surviving, are his wife of 19 years, Debbie L. (Shultz) Schumacher; his daughter, Courtney R. Schumacher three step children:  Alicia McHenry and her husband, Dennis; Nicole Stevens and Graydon Steiner; a step granddaughter, Hailey McHenry; his siblings:  Charles Schumacher and his wife, Cindy, of Laporte; Joan Vashey and her husband, Ronald, of New Jersey; Michael Schumacher, of Central; Jody Boyle and her husband, Andrew, of Jamison City and Catherine Lewis and her husband, John, of New Jersey.  Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his mother, Joan E. (Wolf) Schumacher Meyer, on December 3, 2018; his stepfather, William Meyer and by three brothers:  John H. Schumacher on August 30, 2011;  Albert F. Schumacher, on January 28, 2016 and Henry A. Schumacher on May 14, 2018.
