Lawrence M. "Larry" Bonay, 68, of Hunlock Creek, died Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Born April 20, 1955 in Homestead, PA, he was a son to the late John Paul and Anna Marie (Weber) Bonay.
Larry was a graduate of Penn-Trafford High School. On April 21, 1989, he wed the former Dorian B. Cortes, with whom he would share 34 years of marriage. Larry had worked for Service Merchandise and, later, Tractor Parts Co. in Bloomsburg. He was a man of great faith and was a member of Peckville Assembly of God in Blakely. He enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors. Larry collected vintage radios and enjoyed picking. He was a talented handyman who could repair anything. He relished time spent with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving Larry are his wife, Dorian B. (Cortes) Bonay, daughter, Ashley (Bonay) Quinn and her husband, Scott, and grandchildren: Colin, Aria, Harry, and Eva.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by siblings: John, Thomas, Mary Lou, Barbara, and Deborah.
