It is with profound sadness that the family of Lea Grace Adams announce her death on March 22, 2025, at 24 years of age.
Lea spent her youth growing up in Mifflinville, attending the Central Columbia School District. Lea was extremely bright, creative, and driven. Her natural ability seated at the piano brought joy and peace to many. She continued her education at Bloomsburg University in the Honors College. She enjoyed participating in sorority life with her sisters at Alpha Sigma Alpha and studying abroad in Krakow, Poland. Lea was interested in Spanish language and culture, thriving in her time working at the Hazleton Integration Project. She also loved to create in the kitchen, largely inspired by her time at Mifflin Pizza and La Malbec. After graduating with a degree in Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity, Lea worked at PNC Bank in Pittsburgh. In Pittsburgh, her ability to show care and compassion for others truly shone, as she was always willing to help and give to those less fortunate. Lea’s caring nature was also evident in her relationships within her church family at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mifflinville.
Lea is survived by her mother, Julie (Powlus) Adams; her sister, Ellena Adams; her father, Jeremy Adams, and his partner Brenda Farrell; grandparents: Gene and Cindy Powlus and James and Cathy Adams; great-grandmother, Sylvia Powlus, and aunts and uncles: Anna Powlus, and her fiancé, Brandon Kline, Rachel Adams and Nic Maloney, and Noah and Stephanie Adams.
She was predeceased by her grandmother, Helen Adams and great-grandparents, Roland and Beverly Brown and Gene L. Powlus.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 5 to 7 PM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 487).
