Leona M. (Strouse) Lear

Leona M. (Strouse) Lear, 78, of rural Benton, (Jackson Township), and formerly of Bucks County, died Thursday evening, February 20, 2025 at the Gardens at Orangeville.

Born March 8, 1946 in Sellersville, Bucks County, she was a daughter of the

late Earl W. Strouse, Sr. and Elva (Wireman) Strouse.  She and her husband, Dale A. Lear, would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on March 12th.

Leona enjoyed being a homemaker and also doing crafts.

Along with her husband, Dale, are her children: Dale A. Lear, Jr. and his wife, Tina, of Benton; Brenda L. Malloy and her husband, Shaun, of Sellersville; Brian S. Lear, of Benton; 9 Grandchildren:  Anthony Lear and his wife, Brandy; Ashley Lear; Dominic Kauders; Vincent Kauders and his wife, Olivia; Keith Lear and his wife, Sharifa; Kyle Lear; Amber Malloy and her fiancée, Jake Rice; Brandon Trulock and Sara Steich and her fiancée, Mike Poust.  Also surviving are ten great grandchildren:  Landon Lear, Charlee Kauders; Owen Lear; Aiden Lear; Arianna Trulock; Brandon Michael Trulock; Nicholas Poust; Christopher Poust; Anna Poust; Colton Trulock and her two brothers:  Richard Strouse of Kentucky and Earl Strouse, Jr. and his wife, Betty, of Sellersville. 

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Dorothy Strouse.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Benton V. F. W., 45 Shannon Hill Road, P. O. Box 463, Benton, PA 17814.
