Lewis F. Ruckle, 74, of Stillwater (Bendertown), died early Friday morning, March 7, 2025 at the Gardens at Orangeville, where he had been a resident since 2021.
Born January 2, 1951 in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late John and Anna (Barber) Ruckle.
Lewis attended Northwest Area High School and then graduated from Wyoming Valley Tech School.
He was employed by Cornell Ironworks, now known as Cordell Cookson Company in Mountaintop, for 28 years until his retirement.
Lewis was a social member of the Benton V. F. W. and the Shickshinny American Legion.
He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and coins.
Surviving, are his children: Connie, Roberta and John as well as several grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings: Jean Miller and her husband, Walter, of Shickshinny; Waneta Robbins and her husband, Wesley, of Muhlenberg; Beverly Galutia, of Danville; Winifred Kittle, of Elysburg; Jennie Ruckle, of Mocanaqua, and John Ruckle, of Stillwater.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Charles and David Ruckle.
Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., of Benton.
