Linda S. (Kreischer) Heaps

Linda S. (Kreischer) Heaps, 84, of Mt. Pleasant Township, died Tuesday evening, February 24, 2026 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born July 12, 1941 in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Freas and Marguerite H. (Long) Kreischer.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Paul W. Heaps, on June 25, 2022.

Mrs. Heaps was a  graduate of Berwick High School.  She had been employed by the Berwick Public Library and later ran the Columbia County Traveling Library.  In later years she was the accounting manager for Techniserve Inc. until her retirement.

Her hobbies including gardening and making greeting cards.  She also enjoyed traveling and sailing with her late husband. 

Surviving, are her son, Paul W. Heaps II and his wife Valerie, of Benton; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and her son-in-law, Michael Diltz, of Benton. 

Along with her husband, Paul and her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda Diltz, on April 30, 2025.
