Lorene H. (Robbins) Miller

Lorene H. (Robbins) Miller, 99, of Shickshinny Lake, died peacefully
Saturday morning, June 21, 2025 at her home.

Born June 5, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Guy Robbins,
and Florence M. (McMichael) Robbins. She was also preceded in death by
her husband, of 30 years Clarence Henry Miller in 1995, and her siblings:
Arden & Ruth Robbins, Darl & Jim Bason, sister-in-law, Hazel Martz
Robbins.

Surviving are her brother, Dean A. Robbins; Cousin, Lonnie & Mike,
O’Baugh and family; Caregiver Eric Farver; twelve nieces and nephews:
Gene, David, Darene, Joanne, Randy, Andy, Tammy "Boz", Pammy, Sammy,
Lynn Dee, Lori and Lisa; numerous great & great great nieces and nephews,
a step daughter, Billie Loffland, of Wichita, Kansas; her step grandchildren:
Steven, Lori and Michael numerous step great, & great great grandchildren.

Lorene attended the Ikeler one room school house 8 years before graduating
from Millville High School, 1944. She earned her R.N. degree at Frankford
Hospital where she was a lifetime member. She was Charge Nurse at Shriners
Hospital children's ward. In 1959, she started private duty nursing practice.
She is the last surviving member of the "White Hats" Nurses Club, and was
member of the Shickshinny Red Hatters Club.

Lorene was an active member of the Town Hill United Methodist Church &
its "Over 50 Club" & Bible Study Group. She assisted with fellowship meals
and ice cream socials and was well known for her peanut butter pies.
She enjoyed making cards. With her Hospitable nature she enjoyed hosting
her pinochle club, hosting tea parties and family get-togethers.

A Viewing will be held Friday, June 27th, from 5 to 7 PM at the McMichael
Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road (State Route 487) and also
Saturday, June 28th, at the Town Hill United Methodist Church, 417 Town
Hill Road, Shickshinny, from 10 - 11am, Funeral at 11 am. Private burial
will be in the Ikeler Cemetery Monday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Town
Hill United Methodist Church, 417 Town Hill Road, Shickshinny, PA 18655.
