Lynne (Yellitz) McKeown

Lynne (Yellitz) McKeown, 85, of Fairmount Springs, died Monday, May 19, 2025 at the Phoenixville Hospital.

Born July 9, 1939 in Fairmount Springs, she was a daughter of the late John and Maxine (Smith) Yellitz.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, George J. McKeown, October 20th, 2023.

Lynne worked as a dental assistant during her working career.

She enjoyed decorating, antiquing, gardening and baking. 

Lynne was a member of the Fairmount Springs Church. 

Surviving, are her two children:  Shelby, wife of Bob Fennimore; and Murray, husband of Michele McKeown.  Also surviving are five grandchildren:  Megan, Steve, Kristen, Jonathan, and Amber; six great grandchildren:  Robbie, Sabrina, Max, Louella, Nolan and Laurel as well as a brother, Terry Yellitz. 

Along with her husband, George and her parents, she was preceded in death  by a daughter, Sharon J. Lowrie on September 16, 2020. 

Services will be held Saturday, May 31st, 2025 at 11 AM at the Fairmount Springs Church, 17 Old County Road, Benton, with Pastor Mike Bodek, officiating.  A luncheon will follow the service. Private burial will be in the Fairmount Springs Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
