Marilyn J. (Stevens) Fritz

Marilyn J. (Stevens) Fritz, 86, of Stillwater, died Monday afternoon November 6th, 2023  at her home.

Born July 26, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Paul S. Stevens, who died May 6, 1997 and Madeline C. (Karns) Stevens, who died March 1, 2010.  She was also preceded in death by  her husband, of 52 years, Carroll M. Fritz, who died May 14th, 2008.

Marilyn was a 1955 graduate of Benton  High School.  

She enjoyed numerous bus trips with her friend, Sherrill; spending time outside tending to her lawn and flowers, but she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving are her three children:  Shane S. Fritz and his wife, Penny, of Benton; Melanie J. Gordon and her husband, Mike, of Stillwater; Courtney L. Fritz, of Benton; five grandchildren:  Brandon, Shanna, Ashley, Brian and Taylor; six great grandchildren:  Callie, Bree, Blake, Dagny,  Evangeline and Vander; and two step grandchildren:  Michael and Nicole.

Along with her husband, Carroll and her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald D. Stevens, on July 9, 2010.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 9th, 2023 at 3 P. M. at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 487) with the Pastor James McGee, officiating.  Burial will be in the Benton Cemetery.  Viewing, Thursday, from 2 P.M. until the time of the service at 3 at McMichael's.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to  Compassus Hospice, 575 Montour Blvd, Suite 1, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
