Marilyn L. (Eovitch) Kearkuff, 75, of Benton Township, died Friday afternoon, August 27th, 2021 at her home.
Born July 1, 1946 in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late J. Louis Eovitch and Mary Ann (Muka) Lilley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Clyde A. "Bud" Kearkuff, on August 6, 2001.
Marilyn was a 1964 graduate of Plains High School and also attended the Empire Beauty School in Wilkes-Barre.
She had worked as a dairy farmer most of her life and in her younger years was a supervisor at Leslie Fay.
Marilyn attended the Hamline Church Fellowship and was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Retired State Police Association.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and being a homemaker and was known for her cooking, baking and gardening. She also was an avid reader.
Surviving are her three children: JoAnne E. Yuhas and her husband, Steve, of Wilkes-Barre; Charles "Chuck" C. Kearkuff and his partner, Jennifer Heckman, of Benton; Marianne Dumberth, of Benton; Also surviving are her five grandchildren: Tiffany, Edward, Jack, Levi and Rex; three great grandchildren: Aiden, Caleb and Kameron; a sister, Doris Cyran and her husband, Edward, of Fairfax, VA; and a brother, Ronald Eovitch, of Scranton.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 at 10 AM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton with Pastor Gary Jarrett, officiating. Burial will be in the Raven Creek Cemetery. A Viewing will be held Thursday from 5 to 7 PM at McMichael's. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Commonwealth Hospice, 1409 N. Market St., Suite 202, Berwick, PA 18603.
