Marilyn M. (Hosmer) LaBonte, 82, of Benton, died Monday morning, October 1, 2018 at her home.
Born August 11, 1936 in Rixford, McKean County, she was a daughter of the late LeRoy and Frances (Flanders) Hosmer. She and her husband, Joseph H. A. LaBonte, would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on October 11th.
Mrs. LaBonte was a graduate of Otto High School in Duke Center, PA. She had been employed as a receptionist for Dr. Mika in Benton and had later worked for Barchik's grocery store in Benton.
She was an avid reader and loved country and gospel music. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, Joe, are her three children: Mark J. LaBonte and his wife, Dar, of Hughesville; Michele L. Turner and her husband, Allen, of Benton; Marcia L. Harowicz and her husband, Richard, of Mountain Top; five grandchildren: Kera, Allen and his wife, Lindsay; Aaron, Hannah and Justine; two brothers: Richard Hosmer and his wife, Lois, of Leesburg, Florida and Alan Hosmer, of North Carolina.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Irons.
Viewing and Funeral Services will be held privately at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton with the Rev. Dr. David A. Mansfield, Benton Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Benton Cemetery.
