Marjorie Joann (King) Hess Heimbach, 81, formerly of Benton, died Sunday afternoon, April 28, 2024 at the Gardens at Millville.
Born August 19, 1942 in Long Beach, California, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Marjorie H. (Woodruff) King. She was also preceded in death by her two husbands: Stanley L. Hess on August 3, 1998 and Earl S. Heimbach on January 15, 2017.
Joann was a graduate of Benton High School and had been employed by Milco Industries in Benton until the plant closed and then worked for the Benton Foundry until her retirement.
She attended several area churches including Stillwater Christian Church, Cambra Christian Church and Benton Christian Church.
Joann was a member of the Women's Quilting Guild. Her hobbies included gardening, quilting, crafts and puzzles.
Surviving are her son, Kirk L. Hess and his wife, Inez, of Benton; several nieces and nephews; a step brother-in-law, David Bronson and his wife, Linda, of Benton; a step sister-in-law, Sharon Tishler, of Benton.
Along with her parents and two husbands, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jane (King) Sivo on April 25, 2024.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 2nd, 2024 at 11 AM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 487) with Pastor David Bronson, Cambra Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Sugarloaf Township. There will be a viewing Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the Service at McMichael's.
