Mary Ann Derricott, 83, of Orangeville, died Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the Gardens at Orangeville where she had been a resident for the past ten years.
Born October 11, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Frances (Whittenburg) Derricott.
She attended schools in Brooklyn, New York and had been employed at Milco Industries in Benton as a seamstress in her younger years.
Mary came to live with the Marvin and Devona Albertson family at the age of 18 and spent most of her life with them. When joining the Albertson family she gained six siblings: Steven Albertson, Minette Meyer, Randy Albertson, Terri Bartmess, Holly Wilkinson and Sheila Shepherd.
Mary was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ. Her hobbies included latch hook, needlepoint and word searches.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 at 11 AM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 487). A Visitation will be held Friday from 10 AM until the time of the Service at 11 at McMichael's. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery, Fishing Creek Township.
