Mary Ellen (Fritz) Hock

Mary Ellen (Fritz) Hock, aged 94, Mt. Pleasant Township, died Tuesday, August 31st, 2021 at the home of her daughter in New Columbia.

Born November 5, 1926 in Jackson Township, she was a Daughter of the late Harry and Pearl (Knouse) Fritz.  She was preceded in death by her Husband, Robert Hock, on November 20, 2002.   They were married 57 years.

Mrs. Hock had assisted her late Husband with the operation of the former Peacock Corners Game Farm, until it closed in 1980.  The road which passes by their homestead was named Peacock Corners Rd. in remembrance of their Game Farm. 

 Her hobbies included sewing and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

 She was a 1944 graduate of Benton High School.

 Surviving, are her 2 Children: Gloria Buhl (Tex), of New Columbia and Scott Hock of Allentown; 3 grandchildren:  Brad McMurtrie, Adam (Sara) Hock, and Sara (Brooks) Saunders; 2 great grandchildren:  Ellen and Simon Hock.

 In addition to her Husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters:  Irene Townsend, Arlene Force and Mazie Creveling.

 We thank God for the opportunity of being raised in a Christian home with a loving Mother who taught us Love, Honesty and  Respect; but, most of all to Love God.  "Thank you" to the wonderful neighbors and friends who brought her food and blessed her with their love, friendship and a watchful eye.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the Family.
