Minnie Puterbaugh Obituary

Minnie Rea "Min" (Hoyt) Puterbaugh, 88, of Red Rock Road, Benton, died Sunday, April 19, 2020 at the Bonham Nursing Center, Stillwater, where she had been a resident since 2012. 

Born July 24, 1931 in Cambra, she was a daughter of the late Sterling and Ruby (Musselman) Hoyt.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Wellington F. "Wink" Puterbaugh, of 57 years, on September 19, 2007.

Mrs. Puterbaugh was a 1949 graduate of Huntington Mills High School and was a longtime employee of Milco Industries in Benton where she had been employed for more than 42 years.

She was a member of the Waller United Methodist Church where she served as church treasurer.  She also assisted with the ice cream festivals and the dinners at the Waller Memorial Hall for many years. 

Mrs. Puterbaugh was an avid walker and also enjoyed gardening and traveling.  She enjoyed being a homemaker and was known for her cooking, baking, canning, quilting and cross stitching. 

She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Benton Women's Club.  She assisted her husband as Secretary for the Benton V. F. W. for many years.

Surviving are her two children:  Dixie L. Rosencrans and her husband, Donald, Jr., of Benton; David E. Puterbaugh, of Town Hill; 4 grandchildren:  Stacy Getz, Suzanne Wozniak, Nicole Probst, Joshua Puterbaugh; 5 great grandchildren:  Beau Getz, Grace Wozniak, Wyatt Bogert, Brock Bogert and Bryce Getz.  Also surviving is a sister, Shirley Sutton, a resident of Bonham Nursing Center as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Kerr on May 18, 2006.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in the Waller Cemetery, Jackson Township.
