Nancy Carol (Piatt) Pollin, 90, of North Plainfield and Manchester, NJ, died Friday morning, September 20, 2024 at the Brandywine Senior Living Center of Toms River where she has resided since 2020.
Born June 27, 1934 in Union Township, Luzerne County, she was a daughter of the late George and Myrtle (Robbins) Piatt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth G. Pollin, Sr.
A graduate of Shickshinny High School, Mrs. Pollin had been employed by the Kraus & Naimer Switches-American Solenoid for over 25 years, retiring around 2004.
She enjoyed going to Atlantic City and collecting dolls. She also enjoyed doing yard work, raising flowers and listening to Country music.
Surviving are her three sons: Kenneth G. Pollin and his wife, Joyce, of Toms River, NJ; David M. Pollin and his wife, Marsha, of Shickshinny; Terry D. Pollin and his wife, Donna, of Toms River, NJ; a daughter, Carol N. Pollin, of Point Pleasant, NJ. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; a sister, Alice Hess, of Benton and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Charles, Ernest, Ruth, Ella, Bessie, Ethel, Esther, Lois, Cleo and twin brothers that died in infancy.
A Viewing will be held Tuesday, September 24th, 2024 from 10:30 to 11:30 A. M. at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 487) with a graveside service to follow at Dodson Cemetery, Southdale. Pastor Bob Hess, LCBC, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 2595 Interstate Dr., Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
