Neil Reeb Obituary

Neil G. Reeb, 69, of Waller, Jackson Township, died Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Doylestown Hospital, Bucks County from a short battle with cancer.

Born December 23, 1955, at the Abington Hospital in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Eugene Charles Reeb, who died October 9, 2012, and Mary (Gilbert) Reeb Whitman-Leger, who died April 2, 2024. Neil grew up in Horsham, Pennsylvania, and briefly lived in Glenside where he met some dear, lifelong friends, but Neil spent most of his adult life living in Waller, Columbia County.

He was confined to a wheelchair in his early twenties after a motorcycle accident. But this did not stop him. Neil had a gift for auto mechanics and could diagnose an engine from just the sound. He also rehabilitated two homes in Ocean City, NJ and during that time owned two sport fishing boats for deep sea fishing. A large 10-foot Hammer-Head Shark hangs in his house from one of those fishing expeditions.

He was an avid hunter who hunted all over the United States and Africa. Neil had over 30 mounts in his main hall including a Black Bear, a Cinnamon Bear, an American Buffalo, a few Antelope, Mule Deer, large Elk, numerous trophy White Tail Deer, assorted African game animals, and two of the Big-Five Game from Africa, a male African Lion in a mount lying in the grass with its paw on an Oribi, a small African antelope and a mature African Cape Buffalo. Neil was also into handicapped accessibility, building or retrofitting numerous lifts or ramping systems but one of his fondest memories was meeting Hall and Oates in concert with Teddy Pendergrass. The promoters asked Neil to provide a lift so Teddy Pendergrass, also in a wheelchair, could take the stage.

Neil lived a full life, whether it was raising horses or being a farmer. He was very close with his mother Mary, and they had lived together for the past several years, up until her death last April. Neil was also a member of the Stillwater Christian Church.

Surviving are his six siblings: Fred Reeb and his wife, Kerri; Jeffrey Reeb and his wife, Kathy; Brent Reeb and his wife, Sandra; Deborah Weigt; Charlene Vaughan and her husband, Dennis; Todd Reeb and his wife, Julie as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be at the convenience of the family at the Stillwater Christian Church, 39 McMichael Street, Stillwater, PA. Private burial will be in the Waller Cemetery, Jackson Township.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to The Safari Club International Foundation for wildlife conservation and sustainable use of wildlife resources.
